On Saturday 25 July 2026, RRO held a one-day awareness workshop on gender-based violence (GBV) in the Al-Sareef neighbourhood of Nyala, South Darfur. Thirty community members took part, including women, men and community leaders from the surrounding area.

- Safe and confidential reporting
- Support pathways available to survivors
An RRO facilitator led the session at a local school using participatory methods, so that participants from different backgrounds — including internally displaced community members — could share experiences and ask questions.
The workshop was a self-effort initiative organised by RRO field teams with community support.
